Assuming you’re reading this because you want to improve your digital marketing, you’ve come to the right place. Adzzup and our team of digital marketers have come up with the ideal concoction for the perfect digital marketing campaign.
We have so many clients come to us asking why they’re previous marketing has failed, or what we do that makes our clients so successful. Well, there are a variety of attributes that need to be added to your everyday schedule, in order to improve your online presence.
Digital Marketing Recipe.
2 ½ cups SEO Friendly Website
1 cup Creative Content Ideas
¾ Social Media
½ cups Brand Identity ¾ cups Social Media
1 tbs SM Engagement
1 pinch of Customer Profile for good measure
Step 1
Every great recipe needs a base, typically when baking you would use flour, but with digital marketing you need a high quality website. Search engine optimization is impossible without a quality website to back-link and reference to on other web interfaces.
Consider your website as flour, the base of any good start to digital marketing and an essential for getting a “rise” out of your audience. It should include a landing page that is easy to navigate, mobile-friendly, contact information, service/product listings and your logo.
Step 2
Add to the strength and credibility of your website, by introducing social media to your list of marketing ingredients. It’s a no-brainer that digital technology is a huge part of how we get to know other people now-a-days. Use this to your advantage and creative profile’s for your business, that contain accurate N.A.P (name address phone number) information for them to find you.
Although Google does not have a analytic process for scanning social media, it does take it into account in search engine ranking. The stronger your social status, the higher your ranking will go. You can built a really great social media platform, which can also generate a really great traffic flow to your website as well.
Step 3
The next step you want to make sure you’re adding to your marketing is creative content ideas. You don’t have to be a world renowned writer to make great content - take me for example! All you need is a good promotional/informational idea and spell check.
There are a lot of great ways to use existing content and up-cycle them for fresh new ideas, the possibilities are endless.
When I started blogging for Adzzup I thought to myself, “Oh my gosh how am I going to be able to come up with ideas everyday?” Well, it’s pretty simple if you know how to tweak old ideas into similar yet unique ways. Don’t limit yourself to blogs either! Use images, videos, GIF’s, Tweets, anything that will be relevant and resourceful for your projected audience.
Step 4
With social media comes consumer reviews, comments, and opinions. Adding engagement into the mix will ensure that you appear on top of your game, and eager to satisfy customers. I read a study not too long ago that found clients who were interacted with by a company on social media were more likely to purchase again, EVEN after a bad first experience.
Engagement can go either way, however, so don’t mix business with pleasure. Steer away from politics, religion or “defending” your business against bad reviewers online. While some may agree with your views, others might find you offensive (Shout out to my fellow witty/sarcastic friends!). As much as you might dislike to, taking the highroad is a must, and can ultimately save your business from brand image destruction.
Step 5
Speaking of brand image, let’s talk about it. You can be a really great company with even better product, but if you’re not representing yourself well no one will ever know. The best thing you can do to build your brand identity is by displaying a modern and easily navigable presence. This means logos that are clean and meaningful to your business, style of fonts used throughout your marketing, and taglines that you mind use for your company.
One of the most important parts to keep in mind when building and maintaining your business identity is consistency. Train employees to follow your motto and keep it consistent. This is a key point in your marketing campaign, as it gives a level of expectation to your clients - so they know exactly what they’re getting each time they need your product or service.
Step 6
I saved the best for last. Know who you’re talking too! I will tell you right now, that you don’t have any chance at a successful marketing campaign if you can’t describe your consumer profile. Let’s use a teddy bear night light for example. You’ll sit down and realize, firstly, that your target audience is adolescents up to 10 years old. You might also conclude that they’re afraid of the dark, enjoy cool colors, fluffy animals, and might be waking their parents up at night out of fear. Since children don’t use Facebook you might target their parents as a way for them to get a better sleep at night, by making their children feel more safe! Who doesn’t want their child to feel safe?
